Intellectual Property and ACTA

    I want to touch international topic, whos is really loud recently. I'm talking here about Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement most known as ACTA.
    I'm saying it, coz I'm almost sure, most of you don't even know full name of it - I didn't know it until now. But even if full name can be new, there is no person whom wasn't hear about this phenomenon.
    What's funny it become so well-known, because of people, whom was shocked, that 'goverment wanna take what is THEIRS'.
    I call it 'funny', because people are take away fruits of works from thats, whom are conected with art in every aspects - musician, artist, directors...and others - and think it is totally ok. One of my friends says
" They will be happy, that we want to take it - they are more popular by that " .
    Yeah, but it's not to give any cash to them. If it will be like it, in couples of years we will stop buying CD, going to movies, buying painting. Why will we be paying for something, what can be get free?
    It's no matter, that artist won't earn ANY money from what they do - we wanna have free, what we used to have free. It is too late - now when it is our habit, we will just demand what was obvious for us earlier.
    It also hype up group of people named Anonymous.

    Anonymous group became great threat for Internet’s integrity. They claim that they are fighting for the rights of global web users but in the end their actions can only end with creating unnecessary chaos.
    In my opinion the main goal of this group is seeking for attention. They think that their activities are easy way to become famous. They make big events, blocking sites (it's people whom knowing internet's right very well, so hacking is nothing big to many of them), insulting goverment, sometime they're even devastating place of event to show, how disappoint participants are...so they become vandals, but NO - they just fighting in right business!
    So why, you think, I'm talking that they just doing show? Coz most of them don't even wanna talk, knowing everything they must to know( or it's what's thinking).
    But it's much more complicated.
    Copyright laws are hard to execute in the world where global web based on exchanging data is so important part of everyday life. Governments should be very careful in creating these laws...it's just impossible do PERFECT statute.
     Internet is enormous and it’s hard to predict how its elements will react to these new rules. People don’t like when someone tell them what they can and can’t do and it's become closed circle.
     Govermant also overreacted.

                                      Most known example - Mediaupload shut down.

                                                 
     We should try to avoid topic?
     We will do meaningless protests?
     I don't really know, what we can to do, to pleasure everybody's needs.

Privacy in the web

    Hi, everyone. It's me again. Today's topic? Information Privacy  in the web.
    I don't know what you think about it, but to me internet and privacy are a little bit like...oxymoron? Yeah, that's what I mean.
    Why, you think?
    Firstly - privacy. It's obvious what it is, so I won't going with explanation. What's net is well known also.
    But this words put together and meaning they get - that's where real trouble starts.
    In my last post I was talking about impersonating, hacking and stealing information. All of that is only tip of massive iceberg.

 
    What's funny, we really belive that in internet we are anonymous, faceless, we can do everything, say everything and watch everything without any conseqences.
    Yeah, sure - we can do what we want, but don't think there's no one watching you.
    However nobody really like the idea of being just number - we love to feel special. So films like
" Digital Dossier" always confusing, iritating and just shocking us, even if unconsiously we know that.
    Let's go with most known brands : Google and Facebook, for example. How much information about us we give every day without knowing it?

                                                           
    Did you know, that GOOGLE have archive of EVERY website you ever look for on your computer? If you have acount on GOOGLEs site and going on whatever-it-is site when you log on, you can be sure, google will know it. You delete it after some time, but Google still have it.

    There is so much to say with this topic...I just touched the problem. Privacy in world of new technology is permanently broke and casual people can do anything with that, that in this new world we're just next number on over 7 000 000 others list...
    Of course there ARE some organisation, like EPIC, but it's just a play to good hacker.
    The easiest way to prove my theory is only one word WIKILEAKS.

Internet without any barriers for kids?

    Today I want to touch subject of internet as a "place", whose anyone can enter without any barriers.
    Litteraly ANYONE. If I'm five, can sit high enough to see computer and have ability of holding mouse and, of course, can read even if a little, I have opportunity to become a part of e-community.
    Why however, you think, is it so important?
     Like I said, virtual community have any rules, nothing make you stop. So what users can do to don't get lost in this space?
    We, older users, are able to decide and get distance from what we hear and see in net. Also sometimes, what would we ignore.
    But there, in World Wide Web, are creatures, whom can't defend themselves.
    Yes - I talking about kids, group of users, whom haven't this capacity to know that they will take precautions to make sure, that nothing wrong happend to them - nobody cheat to them and trick them out to get theirs adress, password, or persuade some child to do something he/she normally won't do.
    Every day many people are robbed thanks to hackers in just couple of minutes. Some jealous girl showing other up. Some bright-mind put virus to computers of bully, whom taunted him in "real life". I even won't tell how easy is today to impersonate.

                                                         
    Lets imagine, that some ten years old girl is just surfing the net.
    How much easier will she became victim of phishing or cyber-bulling? What will she do, if that happend? How will she react?
    Some of you will rolling your eyes now, but let be serious: how many olders kids, teenagers, even mature people, broke down because of things like that?

    It makes me to ask most intruging, to me, question.
    How long, would children have to use computer under controling eyes of their mom or dad to be ready do it themselves?
    Will Parental Controle be enough?

ICT - to make our daily life better

    There is no man, all world long and wide, whom don't know, what exacly mobile phone, or internet is. Every one of us have something in common with Information and Communication Technologies, even when we don't know about it.
    When we shopping with our credit cards, talking with our friends( whom exacly are on holidays on Bahama) by skype, searching something what we need to know with Google, downloading our favourite bands mp3, paying our bills online...we don't think about it, that our parents didn't have it.
    It's so normal for us to take cell and send message or pick number by speed dial, so we just can't understand how it's possible, that our parents maybe aren't able to switch on computer, or ask us incessantly "What, the hell, button will I push to hang up?! "
    However, they still are going to take credit cards and withdraw some money from cash machine. Father will be watching news, mother switch on radio. When it'll be necessary, they will go to doc, whom order them to do some examination whos will be make only thanks to high-tech.   
    In my opinion, if somebody says "I can do great without communication technologie, because it's nothing big to me.", is just laying.
    You don't belive me? Right. Do some experiment and try evade your computer for three days, or put somewhere your mobile and make sure won't touch it in this time.
    It seems to be so easy...but in practice it will be disaster - you will be piss off, fed up, brown off, disappoint...no matter how you name it - it still will be this stupid feelings, that you will do that, look at your cell, send e-mail, chat somebody you want to...
    How many of us bought by e-commerce even if once? How many is part of VLE?
    ICT became so important in our daily life and I don't think, that somebody can today function without that little ways to do our life easier and more comfortable.
